Estrogen

Estrogen is the Mother hormone. Doctors have given estrogen to women for the past 40 years to treat menopause and the symptoms that accompany it. Estrogen, though should be continued after menopause because it provides many protective and well-being benefits to women. Estrogen protects women from heart disease, colon cancer, stroke, osteoporosis, urinary tract infections, Alzheimer's disease, cataracts, and macular degeneration. There are many signs and symptoms of estrogen deficiency. An absence or decline in estrogen results in urogenital atrophy, mood swings, sagging skin and breast, fatigue, depression, decreased sex drive, and urinary incontinence. The important factor to know about estrogen therapy is not whether you should be supplementing estrogen, but what estrogen you should be using. Bio-identical estrogen replacement is crucial. Synthetic estrogen is linked to cancer and has many undesirable side effects. Natural estrogen does not cause cancer and does not wreak havoc in our bodies like synthetic estrogen does. JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) has supported these claims for many years.
