• You can expect to be sore for several days.  Discomfort should decrease daily.  Take pain medications as directed.  DO NOT mix alcoholic beverages and pain medication.  Take antibiotics as directed.

• Call the doctor if you notice a considerable increase in the size of either breast or severe pain in either breast.

• Call the doctor if you experience persistent nausea and vomiting as this may cause bleeding.

• You may shower when you desire.  Pat the steri-strips dry.

• Limit the use of arms.  You may use arms in front of you, but limit shoulder motion such as raising arms above your head for one week.  No heavy lifting, pulling, tugging or lifting children, etc.  Use leg muscles, not arms, to rise from a sitting position.  Use abdominal muscles to rise from a reclining position, not your arms.

• Do not operate a motor vehicle while taking pain medications.

• Resume normal activities when desired.

• Vigorous activities may be resumed after two (2) weeks.
